Q: How are colored cardstock gift boxes produced?

There are two routes: dyed-through colored cardstock, which keeps solid color even on cut edges, or white cardstock printed with full-coverage CMYK or Pantone ink. Printing allows patterns, gradients and photos; dyed stock gives the cleanest flat color.

Q: What cardstock thickness should I choose?

We use 14pt to 24pt cardstock depending on size and weight. 14pt–16pt suits small favors and cosmetics, while 20pt–24pt keeps larger gift boxes stiff and gives a more substantial feel in the hand.

Q: Can colored cardstock boxes have foil accents?

Yes. Hot-stamped gold, silver or holographic foil on a colored background is one of the most effective premium upgrades. Foil reads clearly even on dark navy, black or burgundy stock where normal ink may look dull.

Q: Are colored cardstock gift boxes recyclable?

Yes. Cardstock is paper-based and recyclable. Choosing aqueous coating instead of plastic film lamination keeps the box fully curbside recyclable while still protecting the color from scuffs.
